Originally from Venezuela, Damelis "Mely" graduated from Instituto Superior Universitario in Caracas with a degree in Marketing. With more than 20 years of professional experience in finance, business administration, healthcare operations, and client services, she brings exceptional organizational leadership, compassion, and attention to detail to Tree of Life Counseling Center.
Throughout her career, Mely has worked with nationally recognized organizations including Walt Disney World, Hilton Hotels, and CitiBank, where she developed extensive expertise in customer service, financial operations, business management, and organizational excellence. Her diverse background has equipped her with the ability to solve complex problems while building meaningful relationships with clients, providers, and professional partners.
At Tree of Life Counseling Center, Mely oversees many of the day-to-day operational and administrative functions that allow the clinical team to provide exceptional care.
Mely has developed a reputation for successfully managing complex administrative challenges while ensuring clients feel welcomed, supported, and cared for throughout their experience. She believes that every interaction—whether with a new client, family member, insurance representative, or healthcare provider—is an opportunity to demonstrate professionalism, kindness, and genuine compassion.
Outside of the office, Mely enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, participating in dance fitness classes, painting, and tackling creative DIY home projects. She and her husband are the proud parents of three children and share their home with their beloved dogs, each with a unique personality.
Mely also enjoys helping create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Tree of Life Counseling Center feel like home. As part of the center's commitment to comfort and emotional wellness, the practice is actively pursuing the addition of a resident Emotional Support Animal to further enhance the therapeutic environment. When available, clients may request sessions with the Emotional Support Animal at no additional cost.
